one the most exciting parts of summer is walking around the city and seeing all the street art ad grafitti in full bloom.

Several months ago, my dear friend elliott harvey and myself birthed the idea for the Dysphoric Cyborgs tour in an act of immaculate conception or perhaps, asexual reproduction, such as budding.

Dysphoric Cyborgs features individual and collaborative material that ranges from acoustic music, experimental a capella, overhead projector spoken word, avant garde puppetry, and mixed-media collaborations with a focus of expanding ideas of transgender identity and experience and connecting the personal and political, all with a creative vehemence and innovative spirit.

We have been busy breathing life into our offspring  and are currently booking performances in Northeast and Midwest for Autumn/ Winter 2009 and in the Southwest and West Coast for Winter/ Spring 2010.

My friend AJ runs this fabulous site called Trans-Genre that promotes trans artists, musicians and the like (maybe I have mentioned this before)

We had a table at the Trans Health Conference a couple weeks ago and AJ put together this video that features some amazing artists and organizers as well as me in a rare moment out and about
